MAGNIFICENT WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 DELUXE RIFLE WITH MATTED BARREL AND FACTORY LETTER.SN 39617. Cal. 32 WCF. 24-3/8″ full oct bbl. Fully matted top flat, even over standard 2-line bbl address. Full length mag tube with takedown lever and collar. Mounted with Lyman tang sight, Rear combination folding leaf sight and Lyman ivory bead 5-1 front sight. Case hardened take-down receiver with hardened hammer, lever and crescent buttplate. Rifle equipped with deluxe fancy American walnut pistol grip stock and forearm that will grade XXX with very fine checkering. Accompanied by Winchester Factory Letter confirming all special order features and ship date of March 12, 1895. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Extremely fine overall. Hammer and lever match the same condition, with nose cap and buttplate the same extremely fine. 99% blue on breech bolt, with 99% bright nitre blue on extractor. 99% nitre remains on loading gate. 98% blue on trigger. All screws heads are in correct alignment. 99% finish remain on wood stock and forend and has a warm orange patina from proper storage over time. Wood to metal fit is superb with no gaps, splits or chips. Only a few small compressions on bottom of stock. Bright shiny bore. Mechanics are fine. This rifle is about as perfect as one can find. It is in superb excellent plus condition throughout and would be difficult if not impossible to upgrade.
