*RARE AND DESIRABLE WINCHESTER MODEL 61 SLIDE ACTION RIFLE IN 22 L.R. SMOOTH BORE WITH ORIGINAL WINCHESTER BOX.

SN 255734. Cal. 22 L.R. SHOT. 24″ rnd bbl, 3/4 magazine, full blue finish, straight grain American walnut stocks with checkered steel buttplate. Bbl has a brass bead front sight and no rear sight. Bbl has no provision for rear sight. Bbl shows Winchester address, trademark, model and Cal. designation rolled on left side at breech. “WP” proof is struck at top of bbl and receiver. SN appears on forward bottom of receiver adjacent to a matching number on trigger guard. Box has cardboard partitions. Box contains hang tag and instruction manual. End label of box describes this rifle by SN. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl and magazine tube show 99.99% orig blue finish. Receiver also shows 99.99% blue finish. Markings are sharp. Stocks are very fine with only some minuscule scratches along comb and on bottom behind pistol grip. Rifle was not assembled. Box is good and shows water stains overall. Corner of top and bottom are broken out. End label is slightly tattered but legible.
