*WINCHESTER MODEL 71 CARBINE WITH LYMAN RECEIVER SIGHT.

SN 14934. Cal. 348 WCF. 20″ rnd bbl. 3/4 length magazine, full blue finish. Lyman Model 56 receiver sight. Straight grain American walnut stocks with plain pistol grip and checkered steel buttplate. Bbl shows Winchester Model and Cal. designation on left side of breech with Winchester address on right side. Front sight is hooded and mounted on a ramp. Rear sight mortise has been plugged. “WP” proofs are struck on bbl breech and top of receiver ring. SN is stamped on bottom of receiver. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl retains 80% bright blue finish, fading toward the muzzle with slight muzzle wear. Markings are sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 80% bright blue finish with most of the wear at the carry point which has drifted to a plum/brown patina. Receiver markings are sharp. Mechanics are crisp. Stocks are very good, full sized and show only small handling marks. There is some slight water staining near buttplate.
