ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL U.S. CAVALRY BELT, HOLSTER AND CARTRIDGE POUCH FOR A MODEL 1873 COLT SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER OR U.S. S&W SCHOFIELD, CIRCA 1870S.

Holster is U.S. flap type with two tab holes for flap. Front of holster is embossed “U.S.”. Flap is marked “G43” which is a company mark above “ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL” and an “E.H.S.” inspector mark. Cartridge pouch is also embossed “U.S.” with “12G10 / 11”. Belt has a brass U.S. buckle. Belt is also equipped with saber hangers. Belt has a “W.T.G.” inspector mark. PROVENANCE: The esteemed collection of Rafael Cruz. CONDITION: Very good. Holster body is fine. “U.S.” is sharp. Toe plug is intact. Flap is crazed. Arsenal mark is slightly obliterated. Pouch is very good with a clear “U.S.”. Belt is intact. Buckle is very good with a mellow mustard patina.
