Housed in a fine reproduction antique style gesso decorated gilt frame with gilt liner having gilt title and artist plaque
Unsigned but having a spurious signature which may be “R. Blakelock”, but is illegible. The painting was submitted to the University of Nebraska for authentication and it was given an inventory number “NB-1-2184-IV” (Tag on verso). Also on verso is an early Blakelock artist label “No 2957 / Owner: Blakelock / Artist: R.A. Blakelock / Date: Feby 7 189_” SIZE: 18″ x 33-1/2″. Overall: 25-1/2″ x 41″ CONDITION: Minor losses along bottom edge, very good with minor touchup 53038-5 (2,000-4,000) – Lot 1107
