*CASED 12 GAUGE SIDE PLATED BOXLOCK SHOTGUN BY C. MASQUELIER OF LIGE, BELGIUM.

SN 138. Cal. 12 ga. 26-1/2″ fluid steel bbls with tapered, matted game rib and brass front bead. 2-3/4″ chambers. Chokes are FULL/FULL. Gold plated single selective trigger, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Straight grip buttstock checkered in 3-point pattern with tear drop behind locks and mounted with sling swivel. 13-3/4″ LOP over lined checkered butt. Short, beaver tail forearm with push button release, checkered in 3-point pattern. Bottom rib mounted with sling swivel. Side plated boxlock action is reinforced and engraved in floral and scroll pattern throughout and case hardened. Sides of breech balls with side clips. Top lever and trigger guard are engraved in floral and scroll patterns and blued. Housed in an old Gucci brand leather case with green and red top straps and brass nameplate. Case with green felt lining. All visible SN match. WEIGHT: 6 lbs 9 oz. CONDITION: Very good as partially restored. Bbls retain nearly all of a high quality restored rust blued finish. Receiver retains approximately 80% of its orig case color. Buttstock with hunting bumps and scratches particularly on left side, retains approximately 90% of its orig finish with some finish added for preservation. Beavertail forearm is an older replacement and retains most of its custom finish. Top lever and trigger guard have been re-blued and retains most of their custom finish as does forearm iron. Trigger retains nearly all of its restored gold plating, this gun having started life as a double trigger game gun. Mechanics need attention as left bbl will not fire. Bores are excellent.
