HIGH CONDITION LINDNER CHARLES DALY 10 GAUGE HAMMERLESS SHOTGUN.SN 1677. Cal. 10 ga. 2-7/8″ Chambers. 31-7/8″ Steel bbls have slightly raised game rib. HAL crossed pistol logos are on bottoms. Large sized case hardened scallop-backed boxlock action features automatic safety, cocking indicators, and square crossbolt third fastener. Action has about 40% scroll engraving. Lightly figured round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14″ over orig horn buttplate. Splinter forend has Deeley release. Bore diameter: left -.767, right – .777. Bore restrictions: left – .031 (mod), right – .038 (full). Wall thickness: left – .048, right – .032. Drop at heel: 3-3/16″, drop at comb: 1-7/8″. Cast: approx 3/8 off. Weight: 9 lbs. 8 oz. LOP: 14″. PROVENANCE: Copy of German Gun Collectors Assn, Journal, no. 46, on “Prussian Charles Daly Imports”. CONDITION: Excellent, as partially refinished. Bbls retain most of what appears to be their orig brown, augmented a bit over some light marks and rust spots on breech end. Action retains over 90% orig case hardening color, silvered on fences and beads. Stocks have had oil rubbed over orig varnish, checkering re-run. Bores are excellent.
