*FABULOUS HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION 20 GAUGE PARKER “TROJAN” SHOTGUN WITH FACTORY LETTER.

SN 213691. (ca 1935) Cal. 20 ga. 2-1/2″ Chambers. 0 Frame. 26″ Bbls are marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. TROJAN STEEL” on matted game rib. Bbl flats and lumps are stamped with all correct markings. Action has all correct patent and grade markings on water table, and features automatic safety and dbl triggers. Action is un-engraved in “TROJAN” style with “Parker Bros” on each side. Plain American walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14″ over ribbed composition buttplate. Stock is finished in “TROJAN” fashion with widely spaced point pattern checkering at grip. Matching splinter forend has spring tension release. Bore diameter: left -.615, right – .617. Bore restrictions: left – .021 (full), right – .017 (mod). Wall thickness: left – .035, right – .031. Drop at heel: 2-3/4″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Cast: neutral. Weight: 6 lbs. 2 oz. LOP: 14″. Gun matches specifications as listed in PARKER GUN SERIALIZATION AND IDENTIFICATION ledger. PROVENANCE: Factory letter indicating this gun was completed on Sept 23, 1925, confirming specifications. CONDITION: Excellent, close to as new, possibly unfired, with only some very light handling marks, most notably numerous light scratches on left side of action, with some very minor thinning color on bottom, and four or five very shallow dents on left side of buttstock, with some other scattered knocks and dings, as could be associated with standing in a closet the last 80 years. THE PARKER STORY indicates that around 1700 Parker Trojans were made in this configuration, very few have survived in this condition. 52920-10 MGM (6,500-9,500) – Lot 1308
