*COLLECTOR’S LOT OF 2 USGI M1 GARAND .30-06 RIFLES, SPRINGFIELD & WINCHESTER.1) WINCHESTER M1. SN 108541. Cal. .30-06. 24″ bbl. Standard markings. Winchester bolt. The rest of the parts appear to be Springfield. This gun is a post WWII arsenal rework. “S-A-3-49″ marked bbl. Walnut stock with later D.O.D. cartouche. PROVENANCE: Bruce Burtner collection. CONDITION: Very good showing some wear. Markings are clear, a little worn on receiver stub. Wood is good showing wear with numerous small dings and handling marks. Good inspectors’ markings. Bore is fine with sharp well defined rifling. Mechanics are fine. C&R 2) SPRINGFIELD M1. SN 5862550. Cal. .30-60. 24” bbl. Standard markings. 4-55 dated bbl. Non matching drawing numbers for date of receiver. D.O.D. cartouche on left side of stock, circle P firing proof and front of wrist. Accompanied by matching SN CMP certificate. PROVENANCE: Bruce Burtner collection. CONDITION: Fine with a majority of finish. All markings crisp and clear. Stock is very good with light dings and handling marks.
