SCARCE 1833 DATED AMES MODEL 1832 SHORT ARTILLERY SWORD.Fine example marked “UNITED STATES / 1833” and full firm mark “N.P. AMES / SPRINGFIELD” below eagle on opposite ricasso. CONDITION: Scabbard is sound and solid. 19″ blade is overall grey with good markings, several small nicks in cutting edge.
