AMERICAN BIRD’S HEAD POMMEL MILITIA OFFICER’S SWORD WITH TRI-COLOR BLADE.Circa 1830 stirrup hilted militia sword with decorated knuckle bow and carved bone grip exhibits solid brass scabbard and 29-1/2″ curved horseman’s blade with 3-colored panels retaining most of its orig blue and gold with fine American panoply of arms. CONDITION: Blade is fine retaining most of its orig luster and color. Scabbard is sound with mottled brass patina, with several light dents, with staining. Knuckle bow has broken braised repair about 2″ from pommel which should be repaired. 52865-34 JS (800-1,200) – Lot 3096
