ANTEBELLUM AMERICAN EAGLE HEAD OFFICER’S SWORD.Fine condition circa 1830 small sword with 29-1/2″ straight blade with blue and gold decoration, carved fluted bone slab grips and eagle languette. Correct and well fit brass mounted scabbard. CONDITION: Very good to fine overall. Blade retains most of its orig luster and blue and gold decoration. Brass mounts and hilt have a dark mottled chocolate/mustard patina. Leather scabbard body is complete retaining most of its orig black finish, though there is two folds with weakness between drag and middle mount. 52865-27 JS (800-1,200) – Lot 3094
