CASED PAIR OF BOXLOCK FLINT OVER-UNDER SCREW BARREL PISTOLS BY THEOPHILUS RICHARDS.

NSN. Cal. .430. 3″ Removable bbls each numbered to respective position on steel breeches/ boxlocks with central flint cocks. Top/ bottom selector on left sides. Sliding safeties on top tangs also lock frizzens in place. Left sides engraved “THEOPs” “RICHARDS” (1799 – 1833, father of William Westley) in Central oval with swags as background. “LONDON” is in similar device on right sides. Plain walnut bag grips have silver escutcheons at tops. Mahogany case is lined in green cloth, and has reproduction label in lid. Case contains bullet mold, loading rod, combination turnscrew and pricker, and a 3 compartment copper flask. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Metal surfaces are mostly pewter gray to brown without any deep pitting. Stocks retain most of their orig finish. Mechanically good.
