CIVIL WAR SPENCER RIFLE.SN 3481. Cal. 56-50. Honest, orig and complete gun with better than average good top of frame 3-line address “SPENCER REPEATING / RIFLE CO BOSTON MASS / PAT’D MARCH 6 1860”. Standard configuration 46-3/4″ overall with 30″ rnd bbl with adjustable ladder rear sight, 3-bands and functional magazine tube in buttplate. Gun is accompanied by a extra replacement breech block for conversion to center fire for competition or sport shooting, along with a box of about 30 56/50 center fire brass with 3 Lyman loading dies. CONDITION: Gun is good to very good overall. Metal is overall grey with numerous small cosmetic dents and dings. Stocks are sound and solid with hand worn patina again with numerous small cosmetic blemishes. Mechanically fine with crisp well defined bore.
