COLT MODEL 1861 REVOLVER CIVILIAN ISSUE.

SN 31662. Cal. 36. 7-1/2″ bbl, blue and case color finish. Brass trigger guard and backstrap. 1-pc walnut grip. Bbl shows 1-line Colt address rolled on top. SN appears on bbl lug, frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Last 3-digits of SN are stamped on cyl. Wedge is not numbered. Arbor shows last 3-digits of SN. Grip was not removed. CONDITION: Good to very good. Revolver shows a deep mottled brown patina overall with some roughness toward the muzzle. Markings are sharp. Trigger guard and backstrap show a cleaned mustard yellow patina. Butt has been slightly battered. Right side of grip has a crack. Mechanics are functional. A good example of a Model 61 Colt civilian revolver for the entry level collector. 52786-1 TEP (1,250-1,500) – Lot 3010
