This petite little axe is 13-1/2″ overall with a whimsical curved butt with relief carving on sides of curl & on top flat of haft. Axe is 3″ with a 2-1/2″ curved cutting edge. PROVENANCE: An extraordinary private estate collection of a distinguished Virginia gentleman. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Metal is gray overall with staining & light pitting, wood shows very little wear and almost appears to be newly made which is possible.
