Early 18th century New England. This unusual example with tall raked back and curved crest rail joined to down-swept wings terminating in up-swept hand grips centering the mortised seat the side panels with boot jack ends. The whole of rosehead nail construction. SIZE: 26″ h of back, 6-1/2″ h of seat x 14″ w. CONDITION: Chair retains original red paint with a later 19th century back brace for stabilization. Age appropriate minor wear and imperfection from usage. Overall very good in untouched condition. 52738-28 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 2361
