DEACTIVATED MODEL 20A1 SUPER BAZOOKA 3.5 INCH ROCKET LAUNCHER.

SN 236963. Cal. 3.5 rocket launcher, manufactured by the Birtman Electric Co, is electrically fired. Having optical sighting device with sighting grid. 1-1/4″ military web sling. Lightweight aluminum construction. Takes down to 31-1/2″, with an overall assembled length of 60″. The M20A1 Super Bazooka replaced the earlier 2.75″ anti-tank rocket launcher. These were utilized for many years into the Vietnam era, until finally being replaced by the L.A.W.S. rocket launcher. CONDITION: Very fine overall, as it has been deactivated by having a 1/2″ steel rod welded in place at the breech and by having a 3-1/2″ diameter hole bored into the chamber. The hole has been creatively patched using a synthetic material and the entire launcher itself has been repainted to its proper OD green color. Optics are clear and bright, sling is fine.
