VERY FINE PEABODY MILITARY RIFLE.

NSN. Cal. 43. Standard configuration rifle with 33″ rnd bbl, square base front sight/bayonet lug and military style ladder rear sight, British proofs on the receiver and bbl with small inspector marks on the various parts, inspector cartouche “WC” on left opposite lock. This is a very fine example which appears complete and orig with crisp 5-line Providence Tool Company markings on left side of frame. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining about 75% finish overall, though bbl blue is thinning. Stocks are sound and well fit with some staining and storage blemishes.
