VERY WELL MADE FRENCH FLINTLOCK GREAT COAT PISTOL.

NSN. Cal. 58. 6-1/4″ Swamped octagon bbl has gold damascened bands at breech and muzzle ends and French proofs. Flintlock with semi-waterproof pan, bridled friction frizzen, and serpentine cock is engraved “Lacaille Chaxxx a Bloie” under pan. European walnut stock with steel capped flared checkered grip extends to muzzle and is iron mounted. Baleen ramrod with horn tip and steel tail is in one piece pipe/ thimble. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining most of its orig finishes. Somewhat soiled and lightly oxidized. Mechanically excellent.
