RARE GOLD AND SILVER MOUNTED OTTOMAN OVER/UNDER FLINTLOCK PISTOL, CIRCA 1825.SN NA. Cal. 28 bore, 0.56″. 18″ overall with 11-1/2″ cannon muzzle bbls with gold inset decorations and proofs at breech. Mountings are silver with cast relief design. Stocks are fine silver wire inset. Lock is unique design with sliding pans to ignite the upper and lower bbls. CONDITION: Very good to fine overall. Bbls retain much of a thin blue finish retaining most of their gold inlay with wear and light reductions. Proofs and other markings discernible. Silver mounts are fine with good detail and gray patina. A few silver wire insets are missing but 98% intact. Stock is sound and solid with good edges, hand-worn patina. Mechanics are fine with fairly bright smooth bores with light areas of pitting showing little use. 52632-23 JS (4,000-6,000) – Lot 3402
