GERMAN 18TH CENTURY ROYAL GRADE FLINTLOCK JAEGER RIFLE WITH FINE ENGRAVED BRASS MOUNTINGS AND CARVED STOCK.

NSN. Cal. 58. 47-3/4″ overall, 34″ oct Damascus bbl with deep 7-groove rifling and 2-leaf adjustable rear sight. Rifle is beautifully adorned with engraved and pierced brass trim as can be seen in photos. Raised wood patchbox identically trimmed. Forestock has carved border along ramrod channel and relief carving rear of bbl tang. CONDITION: Very good overall as apparently reconverted back to flint, though pan, frizzen and spring may be orig. Cock and cock screw are restored. Stock appears sound and orig with possible inset restoration just forward of lock, though gun was not disassembled for inspection. Several small insets missing and a few pieces have lost their pins and are loose on left side of buttstock as can be seen in photos.
