EARLY EUROPEAN ROOSBACH RELIEF CARVED MUSKET, CA 1750.Cal. .66. Overall 53″ l. 38-1/2″ oct to rnd bbl with identifying proofs at breech. This gun has relief carving at the bbl tang, forward and rear of cheekpiece and at rear ramrod pipe. The trigger guard is made of wood with a brass strap. The stock is worn but is solid and orig. Butt is 4-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ and the buttplate is 2-pc. The gun is equipped with sling swivels. Brass nose cap encircles stock and bbl. CONDITION: Good throughout. Stock as noted above. 2-pc buttplate is missing its rear flange on bottom piece upwards of the toe. Lock is mechanically sound but is unmarked and has been converted from flint.
