NSN. Cal. 40. Bbl is 15″ rnd with oct shank and smooth bore. Dovetail mounted brass blade front sight with elevator adjustable V notch rear sight. Under-hammer percussion action. Walnut saw handle stock with brass butt strap, trigger plate and trigger guard. Stock is fastened by through bolt from rear. Hardwood ramrod held by two brass pipes. Left side of bbl has crude hand stamped marking “N. KENDALL”. CONDITION: Bbl finish has faded to gray with spots of very light pitting. Brass straps have some aged tarnish. Grip has chipped and worn finish with scratches and marks, having a crack extending forward from through bolt area. Mechanics are functional.
