DUTCH OFFICER’S FUSIL.

Cal. .72 Smooth. 51-1/2″ overall. 37″ rnd bbl with bayonet stud. This musket is nicely relief carved at the bbl tang with beavertails behind the lock and sideplate mortise. The wrist has an oval silver inlay with a bit of relief decoration which is surrounded on both sides by silver wire scroll designs. The straight flat brass buttplate is 4″ x 1-3/4″ and the two forward brass bbl bands are 8″ long 1-pc brass. CONDITION: Mechanics need attention. Lock complete but needs adjustment. 3-3/4″ of the trigger guard has been repaired or replaced and the gun was at one time broken through the wrist and repaired. 52594-49 RGG (1,500-2,500) – Lot 3349
