LOT OF EIGHT 18TH & 19TH CENTURY EDGED WEAPONS.1) .This lot includes 2 American swords, one being circa 1835 eagle head with fluted horn grip and complete orig leather scabbard with matching gold plated brass mounts. Other American sword is a Model 1832 short artillery saber with added markings. There are 2 Revolutionary War era swords, one being and iron hilted, slotted guard with etched European patriotic motifs and straight sgl-fullered 32″ blade, grip is wrapped with alternating flat copper and dbl rows of twisted brass wire; the other early sword is an ivory gripped hanger dated “1747” on languette. Both swords are complete with a reproduction scabbards for display. There is a silver hilted and mounted European hunting sword with crown stag grip; the accompanying scabbard has fancy monogram on mid-silver mount with replaced drag. There is another early hunting sword with etched motifs which appears to be Ottoman. CONDITION: Good to very good overall. 2) . Federal period American brass hilted sword missing knuckle bow with star on languette with etched patriotic motifs. Last sword in this grouping is Asian with poly-chrome decoration, dbl-edged 30″ Damascus blade and similarly decorated scabbard.
