LOT OF NINE 18TH & 19TH CENTURY KNIVES AND BOWIES.1) .This is a very diverse lot of edged weapons including an early, 10-3/4″ (overall) circa 1700 Pique decorated 4-sided flared ivory gripped dagger in brass mounted tin scabbard. Two other early European daggers, including 13″ brass mounted Indo-Persian dagger with spiral carved and pinned polished bone grip with poly-chrome figural decorated scabbard. There is a reproduction Woodhead “California Bowie Knife” 13″ overall with scabbard. CONDITION: Good to very good overall. ESA 2) . Other knives include a Victorian copy of a Medieval dagger, a William Read & Sons marked Bowie with carved ebony grip with leather scabbard, 20″ dbl-edged side knife with massive 14″ blade with reproduction scabbard for display along with two additional knives with scabbards. CONDITION: Good. 3) . The last knife in this lot is an old and interesting skinning knife with 9″ blade, 14-1/2″ overall with “Lady’s Leg” carved grip with pewter ferrule in contemporary quill and beaded Indian-style scabbard with cloth belt.
