Housed in a magnificent period floral encrusted gesso decorated giltwood frame
Signed lower left “-Chabas-“, titled on presentation plaque “Happy New Year – Chabas”, there is some confusion in that the artist the painting with an “S” that looks like a “D” and the plaque signifies the “S”, but neither indicates the artists first name. Paul Emile Chabas is known to have done formal portraits which this is inline with. SIZE: 48-1/2″ x 33-1/2″.
