UNWIN & RODGERS NON-XLL KNIFE PISTOL.

NSN. Cal. 28. Knife equipped with two blades marked “NON-XLL/UNWIN/RODGERS/SHEFFIELD”. Larger blade measure 3″ and smaller blade is 2″. Knife is equipped a 3-9/16″ oct German silver bbl with smooth bore and bead front sight. Left flat has British proof marks. Percussion hammer extends through back of knife and is fired by folding trigger that retracts into a semi-circular brass cover between the blades. Iron and brass knife frame has German silver pommels and backstraps. Sides are sheathed in buffalo horn, rear grip portion has coarse checkering. Brass sgl cavity mold slides into compartment at rear pommel. CONDITION: Fine. Blades have faded to grey. Larger blade shows some very light pitting with chips on edge. Smaller blade has pitting with two large chips on sharpened edge. Other metal parts show some light scratches and marks. Horn sheathing shows scratches and handling marks with small cracks through attachment pins and small hole through checkered portion of left panel. Mechanics are functional.
