*GORGEOUS HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION BROWNING SUPERPOSED CENTENNIAL SET WITH CASE

SN 1878C-147. Bbl set #1:.30-06 cal. 24″ rnd bbls with flip-up rear sight and ramp front sight. Bbl set #2: 20 ga 3″ chambers chokes marked mod/full. 26″ bbls with low profile ventilated rib with steel front bead. Gold plated SST, automatic ejectors, non-automatic safety. Straight grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 14-1/8″ length of pull over original Browning buttplate. Both forends checkered in 4-point patterns with Schnabel tips. Receiver is beautifully engraved and signed “R.Bee” on left side with large gold inlaid elk on left and flying quail in gold on right both in game scenes surrounded by lightly cut scroll engraving. Bottom of frame with portrait of John Browning and Centennial dates, and engraved “Browning Centennial”. All visible SN’s match. Housed in its orig wooden presentation case and what appears to be orig outer shipping box. WEIGHT: bbl set #1: 7lb 1oz; bbl set #2: 5lb 14oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retaining virtually all orig finish to both wood and metal with some minor staining noted around frame from storage not from any substantial use. Consignor states he purchased this new and has never fired it. Stocks are quite crisp, riffling is strong, and bores in shotgun bbl are bright and shiny. Case is extremely fine. Outer box shows quite about a wear with corner separated although appears mostly all present. Mechanics are crisp. 52478-1 JSL (6,000-10,000) – Lot 2638
