*SCARCE L.C. SMITH TRAP GRADE 20 GAUGE 2-BARREL SET SHOTGUN.

SN 8013. Cal. 20 ga. Bbl set #1: 2-3/4″ chambers, 28″ Crown steel bbls, choked MOD/FULL. Full length matted top rib with twin ivory beads. Tops of bbls marked “L.C. SMITH TRAP GRADE”. Splinter forearm with banjo roll-type release. Bbl set #2: 2-3/4″ chambers, 26″ Crown steel bbls, choked MOD/IMP. MOD. Raised full length matted top rib with ivory front bead, marked “#2” on forend lug and appears to be a later factory addition. Beavertail forearm with roll-type release. Hunter one “SST”, automatic ejectors, non-auto safety. All visible SNs match. Capped pistol grip buttstock, checkered in 2-point pattern with 14-1/8″ LOP over hardened Jostam pad. Receiver is nicely engraved in standard Trap Grade pattern. Weight with bbl set #2: 7lbs 4oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl set #1 retains approximately 75% orig blued finish with significant toning toward muzzle and at grip. Splinter forearm shows moderate to heavy wear with checkering thinned and a number of dents and hunting bruises. Bbl set #2 retains approximately 90% orig blued finish. Beavertail forearm is excellent retaining approximately 80% of an older restored finish. Buttstock is excellent and retains most of an older professionally restored finish, though may be an early factory replacement and shows some minor losses around trigger guard tang. Receiver retains strong traces of orig case color. Mechanics are functional. Bbl bores are bright and shiny. These graded L.C. Smith 20 gauges do not come around every day.
