*RARE BROWNING SUPERPOSED GRADE IV 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN ENGRAVED BY FUNKEN.

SN 8505. Cal. 20 ga. 26-1/2″ Special Steel bbls, 2-3/4″ chambers, chokes marked “IMP. CYL/MOD”. Full length low profile ventilated matted top rib with steel front bead. Gold plated “SST”, automatic ejectors, non-automatic safety. Extremely well done replacement buttstock is “RKLT” configuration, checkered in 3-point pattern, 14″ LOP over Browning HRPB. Rnd nose forearm, checkered in 5-point pattern with oak leaf pattern engraved release. Receiver is beautifully engraved with pointer and setter on right with pheasants in woods scene and foxes with pheasant on left also in wood scene, both sides signed “FUNKEN”. Bottom of receiver with 2 pigeons in flight and trigger guard bow with pheasants on stump all surrounded by well executed oak leaf pattern. All visible SNs match. Weight: 6lbs 11oz. CONDITION: Very fine as restored. Bbls retain approximately 98% of their expert quality restored rust blue finish. Custom buttstock and forearm are extremely well done replacements and retain virtually all of their custom finish. Receiver is excellent retaining nearly all of its restored French greyed finish. Mechanics are fine, bores are bright and shiny. This is an extremely rare, high grade small bore Superposed by Browning’s most desirable engraver. 52472-1 JSL (7,000-10,000) C&R – Lot 2616
