FINE CIVIL WAR ERA FACTORY ENGRAVED MANHATTAN POCKET NAVY REVOLVER.

SN 29652. Cal. 36. Standard configuration 6-1/2″ oct bbl with 1-line Newark address, silver plated with scroll and punch dot engraving in style of Civil War Colts. 5-shot cylinder is engraved with 5 military panel scenes with floral engraving around frames. Varnished 1-pc walnut grips have rich color. This is a beautifully engraved Civil War Pocket Navy revolver rarely seen with contemporary engraving and all silver which presents as well as any engraved Civil War Colt. PROVENANCE: The Confederate and Civil War estate collection of Fred Donaldson. CONDITION: Fine overall, retaining about 95% orig nickel with balance smooth silver grey with tiny areas of pitting. All matching, well fit grips with tacking inside toes, both chipped, small dents and bruises retaining 95% bright piano-like varnish.
