*WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH LYMAN SIGHTS.

SN 987713. Cal. 32 W.S. 20″ rnd bbl, full magazine, blue finish, straight grain American walnut stocks with steel carbine buttplate. Bbl shows Winchester model and nickel steel designation on left rear side of bbl, followed by the Cal. mark; right rear side of the bbl shows Winchester’s address. “WP” proofs appear on the bbl breech and on the upper receiver ring. Bbl has ivory bead front sight, rear bbl sight has been removed and the mortise has been plugged. Receiver has saddle ring attached. SN stamped on the lower forward part of the receiver. Tang sight was not removed. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine retain 80-90% of the blue finish that is drifting somewhat to plum/brown at the forward portion with some slight muzzle wear. Front sight is very good with a full bead. Bbl markings are sharp and clear. Bore is slightly frosty with some rifling. Receiver retains 10% blue in protected areas with the balance having flaked to a smooth plum/brown patina. Saddle ring wear is evident. Loading gate shows traces of fire blue. Hammer and lever are also a deep plum/brown patina. Tang sight is very good and shows traces of blue; markings are sharp. Stocks are very good, full sized and show minor handling marks and scratches overall. Stock has some small white paint splatter marks. Buttplate is also a deep plum/brown patina with wear on the heel and toe. Bbl band is silver/grey patina with traces of blue. Front band shows 80% of the blue with high point wear. Mechanics are crisp. A chance to purchase a very nice example of a Winchester Model 1894 saddle ring carbine.
