*SCARCE L.C. SMITH CROWN GRADE 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN.SN 219631. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ Nitro steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Chokes mod/mod. Full length matted top rib with brass front bead and engraved gold bar near breach. Regular weight frame. Hunter One SST, automatic ejectors, non-automatic safety. Capped pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with beautiful grain and fiddleback with 12-7/8″ LOP from rear position single trigger over lined HRBP. Splinter forearm with banjo roll-type release and triangular ebony tip. Near full coverage checkered and with interesting fancy script “B” carved in front of banjo. Receiver is beautifully engraved in standard Crown Grade pattern, setters on left, pointers on right in game scenes. Gold crown inlaid in top lever, all surrounded by well cut rose and scroll engraving. All visible SN’s match. WEIGHT: 7 lbs, 10 oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain approximately 80% orig blue finish with some minor handling marks and scratches. Buttstock and forearm are excellent, retains 70-80% of what appears to be their orig varnish with some finish added for preservation, there are scattered handling marks throughout. Receiver has been cleaned and shows some minor staining with traces of orig color remaining. Bores are very good mostly bright and shiny with a scattered patch or two of beginning roughness.
