◊*LOT OF THREE POST WAR COMMERCIAL WALTHER P38 9MM PISTOLS IN BOXES.1) WALTHER P38. SN 289727. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. Single line marking on left side of slide. 68 dated on left trigger guard web. Made in West Germany. Matching SN’s. Alloy frame. Checkered black plastic grips. Gun has total of two P1 marked mags. Accompanied by SN matching factory box and test target as well as steel cleaning rod. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Very fine condition showing little wear. Minor handling marks on gun and grips. All markings clear. Fine bore is bright with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Box is solid with scuff marks. 2) WALTHER P38. SN 292974. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. Two line “Ulm/Do” P38 marking on left side of slide. 12/59 dated on right side of slide. Slide number does not match, other numbers appear to be matching. IH date code of left trigger guard web. Alloy frame. Checkered black plastic grips. P38 marked mag in gun, spare mag marked P1. Accompanied by period factory box which does not match. Brass cleaning rod. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Good condition showing finish wear on finish points, most of the finish worn off of front grip strap. All markings clear. Grips are fine showing light scratches and handling marks. Fine bore is bright with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Box is solid with minor scuff marks. 3) WALTHER P38. SN 326041. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. This gun is a model P38/II. Two line Ulm/Do marking on left side of slide. Dated “5/69” on right side of slide, “69” on left trigger guard web. All external numbers match. Alloy frame. Checkered black plastic grips. Both mags with this gun are P38 banner Walther marked. Matching SN factory cardboard box and test target. Also comes with manual and steel cleaning rod. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Gun is very fine. Showing minimal handling marks. All markings are clear. Grips are very fine, minimal marks.
