*LOT OF TWO WALTHER POSTWAR CUTAWAY PISTOLS, P38 AND P5.

1) WALTHER P38. NSN. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. Standard later production “Ulm/Do” markings on left side of slide. The left side of the slide is also lightly marked “3./Ho.”. Alloy frame. Black plastic checkered grips. This gun appears to be a factory cutaway, cutout areas highlighted with red paint. Accompanied by wood box with banner Walther on lid. One standard later production banner Walther mag and plastic cleaning rod. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Very good condition with finish wear on high points and some flaking to red paint. Markings are clear. Grips are good with light handling marks and dings. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Good mechanical function, as cutaway and not meant to be fired. Wood box is fine with light scuff and light handling marks. 2) WALTHER P5. NSN. Cal. 9mm. 3-1/2″ bbl. Standard P5 “Ulm/Do” markings on left side of slide. This is a left hand eject pistol. It appears to be factory cutaway with cutaway areas highlighted by red paints. Checkered black plastic grips. Proper cutaway mag. Alloy frame. Accompanied by postwar Walther P38 wood grain cardboard box, manual, test target. This box has nothing to do with this pistol. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Fine condition overall with majority of orig finish. Slight handling marks. Markings are clear. Red paint has foam pistol case residue stuck in it. Bore is fine with strong rifling. Good mechanical function, as cutaway and not meant to be fired.
