◊*VERY FINE CONDITION WALTHER 1936 OLYMPIA, FULL COUNTERWEIGHT ASSEMBLY, TOOL.SN 7645. Cal. 22 LR. 7-1/2″ bbl. Standard production 1936 Olympia Match pistol. Left side of the slide marked with the Walther banner followed by the usual 2-line Walther address and the model denomination “Olympia-Pistole”. Right side of the slide marked “CAL. 22 long rifle”. Crown/N markings on right side of bbl & slide. Checkered wood grips. Matching magazine with wood base. Pistol is fitted with a full set of black anodized counterweights that attach to the muzzle & the forward frame. Weights are all marked “76” on left side and all securing square-head bolts are present. Complete with special key to manipulate the square-head bolts. PROVENANCE: Ex-Collection of Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess. Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Very fine, with slight wear to finish and light handling marks. Small chip missing from bottom of right grip at front. Fine condition magazine & wood base. Tight mechanical function. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
