*WALTHER 1936 OLYMPIA .22 SHORT PISTOL IN PERIOD WOOD GERMAN SHOOTING CASE.

SN 61280. Cal. 22. 7-1/2″ bbl. Standard markings. Dural slide. Crown BUG proof right side of bbl. Crown BU proof right side bbl and slide. Crown N proof right side of slide. All external numbers match. Checkered wood grips. Left grip finger rest has been modified to fit shooter’s thumb. Matching wood bottomed mag. Accompanied by period wood shooting box with SN of gun written inside lid. “Heinrich Langenhan/Zella-Mehlis/illegible” stamped inside lid and partition. Spare set of checkered wood grips, unmodified. Two weights, aluminum Walther cleaning kit, screwdriver, brass cleaning rod, two aluminum paint vials, glass oil bottle, also in box. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Very good, with finish wear to Dural slide. Blue wear on high points and light handling marks. Grips are very good with light handling marks, as modified. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Period case and accessories are very good.
