1) WALTHER P38. SN 313439. Cal. 22LR. 5″ bbl. Standard two line marking left side of slide. Right side of slide marked “12/66”. All external numbers match. Alloy frame. Dated 68 on left trigger guard web. Made in West-Germany. Checkered black plastic grips. Missing lanyard staple on left side. Proper mag. Accompanied by dark blue leatherette case, banner Walther marked on red satin interior lid lining. Gun is photographed without mag inserted. One mag total with this gun. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Very good, showing light handling marks. All markings clear. Grips are very good with light handling marks. Bore is fine, bright with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Covering to case is peeling along back edge, tear at top of left lid edge. Minor scuff marks. 2) WALTHER P38. SN 007808E. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. Standard two line marking left side of slide. “9/60” marked on right side of slide. Eagle N proof. High luster finish. All external numbers match. Alloy frame. Checkered black plastic grips. Both mags are banner Walther P38 marked. Black leatherette case is banner Walther marked on interior blue satin lid lining. Made in Germany.
