*WALTHER SPORT MODEL 1926 OLYMPIA .22LR PISTOL.

SN 1450. Cal. 22LR. 7-1/2″ bbl. Marked on left side of slide “Walther’s Patent”. Banner Walther. “MADE IN GERMANY” on left trigger guard web. Marked on right side of bbl with SN & “5,4 m/m”. Marked on right side of slide “CAL22 long rifle”, “Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis (Thur.)”. Crown B, Crown U and Crown G commercial proofs appear on right side of bbl and slide. Checkered wood grip. Unmarked mag. This pistol features a second slide notch for single action operation. This style pistol was used in the 1932 Olympics, under the designation as the Walther Olympia Rapid Fire Model. This style gun is also commonly referred to as the “1932 Olympia”. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Very good condition with finish showing wear on high points. Markings are clear. Slight pitting on breech face and at rear at chamber end of bbl. Very minor pitting in bore with strong rifling. Mechanics are fine. Wood grip shows moderate wear, checkering is smooth, 1″ crack on left side. Mag has two cracks on right side, finish may not be orig.
