*EARLY ZERO SERIES WALTHER P38 9MM PISTOL WITH HOLSTER.

SN 0369. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. Marked on left side of slide banner Walther, “P.38”, SN. Eagle 359 inspected on right side of slide, bbl lug and trigger bar. Eagle 359 inspected on left side of frame and opening lever. High luster commercial type finish. Black Bakelite grips. Eagle 359 inspected, “P.38v” marked mag. Matching SN’s on slide, frame and bbl. This gun is explained on p. 167, described on p. 212, pictured p. 213 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. I by Warren Buxton. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster, marked on back “C.HEINICHEN/DRESDEN/1940”, “P38”. The left belt loop is a period riveted replacement. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Fine condition. Orig finish showing wear on high points, thinning on front strap and right side of slide. All markings are clear. Grips are very fine. Bore is fine, bright with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function.
