*PROTOTYPE OR EXPERIMENTAL WINCHESTER MODEL 63 SEMI-AUTO RIFLE. Cal. 22Short. Late production rifle with 23″ tapered round bbl, standard sights, uncheckered wood with checkered steel buttplate. Left side of receiver is roll marked in 1/8″ letters “WINCHESTER”. Right side of receiver has a screwed on ejection port deflector. Bbl, 6″ from the muzzle, has a 1/2″ gallery restraint band with spring attached, installed in a groove in the bbl. SN 164831. CONDITION: Excellent, plus. Retains virtually all its original finish to both metal and wood with only minor light handling and storage marks. 4-46712 JR246 (1,000-3,000)
