SCARCE EARLY SPECIAL ORDER PARKER BROTHERS GRADE 1 LIFTER HAMMER SHOTGUN IN 10 GAUGE.

SN 11906. Cal. 10 ga. 30″ Damascus bbls. 2-3/4″ chamber for brass. Full length Damascus top rib marked “Parker Bros. Makers, Meriden, Conn. Damascus Steel, Made For E. F. Bassett”. Dbl triggers, extractor, no safety. Buttstock with round knob pistol grip checkered in 3-point pattern with nickel shield on top and 14-1/4″ LOP over engraved full steel buttplate. Splinter forearm with Deeley release and steel tip checkered in standard grade 1 pattern. Receiver is lightly scroll engraved and marked “Parker Bros.” on both sides. Bore diameter: left -.795, right – .795. Bore restrictions: left – .034, right – .034. Wall thickness: left – .065, right – .062. Drop at heel: 2-7/8″, drop at comb: 2″. WEIGHT: 9 lbs, 14 oz. CONDITION: Very good as partially restored. Bbls retain approximately 60% visible Damascus pattern. Receiver is superb and retains well over 80% orig lightly toned Parker case color. Buttstock and forearm have been properly restored and retain most of their restored finish with minor handling marks and a couple of minor shakes in butt. Buttstock in need of repair at wrist with grain separation emanating from trigger guard tang on both sides. Steel buttplate is excellent retaining about half of its orig blue. Bores are very good with areas of minor roughness. Mechanics are fine. Inscription should be further researched and this is a rare gun as Parker Bros. inscribed very few arms. 52194-7 JSL (3,000-5,000) – Lot 2522
