*SCARCE PARKER BROTHERS VH GRADE 16 GAUGE SHOTGUN ON A “0” FRAME WITH FACTORY LETTER.SN 125457. Cal. 16 ga. 28″ Vulcan steel bbls. 2-1/2″ chambers. Chokes full/full. Brass front bead. “0” frame. Dbl triggers, extractor, automatic safety. Replaced round knob buttstock, checkered in unusual mullered border. Nickel shield near toe. 14-1/4″ LOP over contemporary Parker Bros. DHBP. Replacement splinter forearm with Deeley release and steel tip. All visible SN’s match. Frame marked “Parker Bros.” on sides. Included with this lot is a PGCA Letter describing the gun as originally ordered. Bore diameter: left -.662, right – .662. Bore restrictions: left – .030, right – .027. Wall thickness: left – .030, right – .027. Drop at heel: 2-13/16″, drop at comb: 1-5/8″. WEIGHT: 6 lbs, 1 oz. PROVENANCE: The Larry Kelley Estate Collection. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains nearly all of a professionally restored finish. Receiver is mostly bright with a hint or two of orig color. Top lever slightly left of center. Custom buttstock and forearm are excellent with minor handling marks and rubs, a couple of gouges near toe. Bores are excellent with evidence of a dent or two removed from each tube.
