1) L.C. SMITH FIELD. SN 2391. Cal. 20 ga. 28″ Armor steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Chokes mod/full. Full length matted top rib with brass front bead. Regular weight frame. Dbl triggers, extractor, automatic safety. Custom fiddleback full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 14-1/4″ LOP over Winchester Repeating Arms Co. buttplate. Custom semi-beaver tail forearm checkered in 5-point pattern. All visible SN’s match. Interesting crescent moon and owl silver inlay on left side of butt. WEIGHT: 5 lbs, 11 oz. CONDITION: Fair. No orig finish remains on metal surfaces. Stocks with handling marks, scratches and cracking behind locks and at butt. Buttplate chipped at toe, losses behind top tang. Bores are fair with some substantial pitting. Mechanics are functional. C&R 2) L.C. SMITH IDEAL. SN FW50683. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ London steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Chokes improved mod/full. Full length matted top rib with brass bead. Featherweight frame. Dbl triggers, extractor, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 14-1/2″ LOP over Pachmayr white lined pad. Splinter forearm with banjo roll-type release and triangular ebony tip, checkered in 3-point pattern. All visible SN’s match. Engraved in standard Ideal leaf and scroll pattern, small bar added behind safety. WEIGHT: 7 lbs, 3 oz. CONDITION: Good. Bbls retain most of an older re-blued finish, engraving lightly thinned. Buttstock with fabric imprint and small pock marks in finish and forearm have been restored long ago, minor grain separation behind locks and top tang. Receiver retains traces of orig color. Engraving is sharp. Bores are very good with minor orange peel and show evidence of repaired dents. Mechanics are functional. C&R3) L.C. SMITH FIELD. SN RE97415. Cal. 12 ga. 28″ Armor steel bbls. 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked mod/mod. Full length matted top rib with brass front bead. Regular weight frame. Dbl triggers, ejectors, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 14″ LOP over lined HRBP. Splinter forearm with banjo roll type release. All visible SN’s match. WEIGHT: 7 lbs, 8 oz. CONDITION: Fair. Bbl with some orig blue and an area of more serious pitting near muzzles. Receiver retains traces of orig case color with browning and staining on bottom of action. Buttstock with repairs behind locks, top tang, and bottom stock fingers with new wood spliced in, checkering visible with scattered handling marks throughout. Bores are good with some pitting.
