*WINCHESTER MODEL 12 TRENCH GUN. Cal. 12ga. Usual take-down Model 12 with 21″ cylinder choke bbl, metal handguard shroud with bayonet lug and sling swivel. It has small round ribbed forearm with pistol grip stock and black hard rubber buttplate. The top of the bbl is marked with a flaming bomb, the right side of the receiver is marked “U.S.” and flaming bomb. The left side of the stock bears the inspectors mark “GHD” and the ordnance wheel. Accompanied by an original Winchester 1917 dated bayonet with “US” and flaming bomb on right ricasso and the date with Winchester proof on the left ricasso. Two groove walnut handles and accompanied by green leather scabbard with scarce Jewell 1917 dated frog. SN 1007123. CONDITION: Excellent. The bbl and mag tube retains 96-98% original blue. The receiver about 98% bright blue, the wood is sound, the forearm retains 15-20% original finish and the buttstock about 98% original finish. Bright shiny bore.
