INTERESTING ELABORATE PIERCED CARVED ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENT.19th century. Possibly the surround for a screen. The carving having a three dimensional aspect with white storks, animals and flowering vines. There are three large panels with a small box of parts. SIZE: Three panels are 68″ h x 20″ w. Parts are 16″ h x 6″ w and smaller. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of George Grey Barnard, Founder of the Cloisters.
