RED LACQUER “HUNDRED BOYS” CABINET.18th/19th century, China. Front panels decorated with black lacquer and gilt painted scenes containing tinted bone carved young boys. Mounts and hinges of cloisonne enamel, all on a red lacquered ground containing dragons and lotus blooms, interior with one shelf and one hidden compartment, all decorated in black lacquer with gilt painted florals. SIZE: 61-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Lacquer with profuse cracking. Minor losses to inlays. Some loose joints. Overall wear typical of age. Otherwise good. 1010-4 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 4326
