SIX JADE AXE PENDANTS.

1) Han style and possibly of the period, China. With a winged tiger finials; Pale yellow green stone with a worn, eroded area of russet. 2) Han style and possibly of the period, China. One side carved with a chin lung. The other a tao tieh mask. 3) Han style and possibly of the period, China. Carving of a chin lung and cloud motifs. Stone of “onion skin” yellow with a large area of russet. 4) Han style and possibly of the period, China. Much calcified pale green stone with a tiger on one side and archaic scrolling on the other. 5) Han style, probably 19th century, China. Flaring rectangular form carved with a relief tiger and a tao tieh mask. Brown colored stone. 6) Probably Han Period, China. Mask with projections. Central pierced hole. Stone of a greenish color much calcified. SIZE: 1) 2-1/2″ x 2-1/4″. 2) 2″ x 2-1/2″. 3) 2-1/2″ x 1-1/4″. 4) 1-3/4″ l x 2-3/8″ w. 5) 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″. 6) 2-1/2″ x 1-3/4″.
